Rome - Contiki

Arrived in Rome in the afternoon and had a 'walking tour' of the Coleseum and the ruins, quite boring as we were all stinking hot and our tour guide had a very thick accent so hard to understand. Was quite surreal standing outside the colesseum though. We then met our tour guide who gave us an 'illegal' tour ( you have to be a registered guide to be able to stand outside a landmark and talk about it to people) of Trevi Fountain, we threw a coin in and then headed to the nearest gelati shop to satisfy our new favourite thing!

Caught the metro into town today for a full day sightseeing. Waited in line for the vatican for so long but got to see the Sinstine chapel then Geoff and I headed straight for the Colesseum, this time to go inside and we were both completely overwhelmed by it.
