Eclipse - 3 March 2006
Last night as we came out of Strassman the moon was in the beginning stages of an 'eclipse' (where the earth is directly between the sun and the moon, the earth casts a shadow on the moon which, which when completely covering the moon turns a glowing red colour).
First photo shows the shadow starting to creep up over the moon. By the time we caught the tube home it was at the stage of the second photo - almost complete. We stayed up to watch the end which only took about 15 minutes. The photos don't give it justice, it really was the most amazing thing! Especially the glowing red.
