New York, New York

Central park where we chilled and listened to a fab jazz band for the afternoon.
We hired a dingy and rowed around the lake in Central Park for an hour.

Empire State Building from Rockerfella

We auditioned to be members of the audience for one of David Letterman's Late Show. We won tickets and spent the afternoon watching one of the tapings. Dr Phil was one of the guests, was pretty cool !

Me and my 'supercool' poncho - it rained half the day during our bus tour.

Chinatown

On the Statten Island Ferry. In far distance if you use your magnifying glass you may see the Statue of Liberty. It was such a gloomy day that none of our photos came out very well.

Me on Wall Street.

Ground Zero, we were here 8th September and they were getting ready for the memorial services the next day on 9/11.

A typical manhattan apartment. This particular street (can't remember the name) is used lots for TV sitcoms such as Friends and Seinfeld.

I just had to include this picture as it makes me laugh everytime. Geoff has been looking forward to his first Wendy's meal since we left NZ. This picture was taken on our hop on - hop off bus tour and the tour guide was pointing out something in the opposite direction but saw Geoff oggling Wendy's so had to take this snap.

Empire State Building.

My first of many frozen margerita's ! They are a very popular over here.
TILES FOR AMERICA
We found this wall on our first walk around Manhattan the day we arrived. It is tiles to remember the people who lost their lives on 9/11. The tiles arrive from all over the world and are continually replaced as new ones arrive.

You both look very happy and seem to be having a great time. Not long now. We are all looking forward to seeing you both home soon.

Lots of love from Mum and Dad
