High tea for Ange's Birthday

I took ange out to celebrate her birthday. I got a double deal which was a tour in Buckingham Palace (which we missed out on through no fault of our own but Ange has written an excellent letter so hopefully we will get another chance), followed by High Tea at a 5*hotel (see pic). We started off with pink champagne followed by sandwiches, cakes and scones with cream with tea. A funny moment while we had everything at the table but were waiting for cream. After much waiting our watering mouths spoke up and asked for some cream. Apparently the very yellow and thick 'cream' (we thought it was butter!) was special clotted cream which is no good for the waistline but very delicious. You could tell we were amateurs at this kind of thing!

After lunch we walked around and Ange showed me around Soho. We had a glass of wine at a pub then continued to look around for a nice place for dinner. Ange had a fantastic place in mind, this great tapa restaurant in Soho for many tapas and a few jugs of sangria. I had the best day ever and got home around midnight. Was feeling a bit sick the next morning possibly due to over indulgence. :)

The next day was Ange's actual birthday and we all met at The Queens Head in Hammersmith. Mum and Dad arrived back from their touring around and we all went for a pub roast and some drinks to celebrate the occassion along with Ange's friends. Unfortunately the photos are on mum's camera so I will have to get her to email them to me when she arrives home so they are to follow.
