Where's Wally

The joys of living on the farm. Here is Geoff with a calf that is about an hour old. He didn't get close enough for a great pic so this one had to do! And yes Jase, he did make a comment about how big it was and how there's no way you would keep THAT inside !! (when I first met Geoff he thought that calves were kept inside similar to the way our cousin's calf club lamb's were, until they were big enough to go outside, what a townie! hehe)
28 Sleeps!!!
Wow only 28 sleeps to go! Geoff and I are both getting really excited and talk heaps about our travel plans together. Mostly I am excited about seeing Ange (it's been over a year!), I can't wait to hang out with her and I'm sure it will be a very squealy reunion, and of course experience a totally different way of life. Just a reminder for the farewell parties; youngins boozy party for friends is 21st April at BREW (as you walk into THE EMPIRE, entrance to BREW is just on the right) 8pm onwards, family/family friends dinner is 23rd April at Karaka from 3pm onwards. We definately want to catch up with everyone before we go so I hope everyone can make it. If not, I'm free at Easter so let me know (I think that's Geoff's only free weekend before we go also). Off to Napier this weekend so I hope it stays fine as it's a long drive down. Hope you all have a great week. :)
Graduation

Graduation was today. Finally......after 4 years!!! It was so much fun, I had a really great day. It started off with a procession down Queen St (the roads were closed off, we followed a police car and a marching band playing the bag pipes), then we had the formal ceremony. It was a bit nerve racking as they had a MASSIVE screen at the front which they showed a big zoom in of your face for about 4 seconds when you walked across the stage. But thanks to Dad and Geoff, when I actually walked across the stage, I was thinking who it was that was cheering for me down the back so I didn't have time to think about the cameras. After the ceremony we (Mum, Dad, Nana and Geoff) walked down to have lunch at the viaduct. It was so yummy, and a glass of bubbles to wash it down with. It was such an awesome day when I thought it would actually be quite boring. For more pics, join me on www.bebo.com
Day Light Savings

Spent a fab lazy Sunday afternoon in Grey Lynn Park for the Day Light Savings party, where there were a few NZ bands and DJ's playing. Heaps of people there so lots of atmosphere. We had a fairly big group, so just turned up with lots of picnic blankets, yummy picnic food and a few bottles of wine. The highlight was definately dancing up the front to Fat Freddy's, who I'd never seen live before and were great. :)
Zhara

This is Zhara (she has just turned four) who I look after in the mornings. She is such a honey, very cute and cheeky. Last week she told me she hates boys and when she grows up and has babies, she only wants girls because boys are boring. Then a few days later she announced she now has a boyfriend at Kindy, although she doesn't know his name (these things are trivial when you're four!).
Full Moon

Wow! Did anyone see the moon Wednesday morning? This pic was taken at 6.50am, I just left the house to go to work and saw the moon outside and had to run back inside for my camera. The pic doesn't do it justice, it was just stunning!
Hamish & Angelic Engagement Party

Last night we all headed to Igacu in Parnell to celebrate Hame and Ange's engagement. The couple arrived in style (stretch limo) and a everyone had a great time. Ange looked stunning and had her hair done specially. Top pic Rose, Mis and Caz, next is Ange with Hamish's sister, and the last pic is Hame (middle), Garth (left, best man) and Geoff. Unfortunately I didn't get a snap of the happy couple so you'll just have to use your imagination. Devine food (incl crostinis with seared tuna, salomon roe - i wasn't a fan! and a really yum choccie cake). There was even a slideshow playing continuously through the night of great pics including most people at the party and even some shots of the 'proposal' which was really cool for everyone to see. House Alterations

Here are some pics of the alterations to the house for those who haven't seen it yet. Still not finished but we are now living in the new areas and is so much better than what was there before. Especially the open kitchen and living area (previously kitchen was 'boxed' in and living areas were separate). Now where the old kitchen was we have a beautiful new bathroom, toilet and laundry. There is also a double garage and the front door has been moved (see pic). Still lots to be done, outside of house is currently two different colours but will eventually all be the charcoal colour of the garage and landscaping of entrance hasn't been done yet. Dad has just finished painting deck and is dark blue. Mum and Dad have been working so hard but all the hard work and stress has definately paid off. Come and see us if you're in the area !!
Nana's 72nd Birthday

All the family went to Tiffin's in Pahurehure for dinner to celebrate Nana's birthday on Tuesday night. Here is her with all her grandchildren (with Geoff being stand in for Ange). hehe
