BBQ at Angie's

Ange and Philp had all the kiwis over for a BBQ Saturday night. Tanz and Karl are back from Holland so it was great to catch up with them. All of Karl's family are over also over from New Zealand so it awesome to catch up with everyone all at once. Mum and Dad are now off to Greece and Turkey for two weeks and will catch up with them on Ange's birthday before we head off around England.
Bring on the RAZZLE DAZZLE...................

Mum and Dad treated Ange and I to a show for our birthdays, and Philip and Geoff tagged along too. We all met for dinner in Tottenham Court at Ruby Blue for a bite to eat and drink during happy hour then headed to Chicago. It was such a fantastic show with great dancing and singing. A few funny bits and it was also highly erotic at times! Such a brilliant night out and our first show in London experience.
Dinner

Mum and Dad arrived last night and we all met at a pub after work to have dinner and catch up. Many pims/ciders/wine/beers later Dad was almost falling asleep in his Beef and Ale pie so we called it a night.
The secret garden.........

This is the garden where I get to eat my lunch everyday (it is a communal garden out the back of my work), I take my picnic blanket and my book and chill out. (Check out the £18,000 summerhouse imported from somewhere far away! what a rip!)
Spitlefield Market's

Me and Ange went to Spitlefield Market's Sunday for a look around. Check out this whole table of pastries! We were very restrained and only had two little handmade choccies from a shop that called itself 'the finest chocolates in Britain'. A pretty fun day, there are so many cool market's over here with lots of craft things and strange items of clothing.

The crowds !!

A full day in the sun drinking wine/beer/cider, eating kiwi tucker and grooving to kiwi sounds with not a spot of shade in sight (but sunblock nonetheless!) makes for very sunburnt exhausted people. New Zealand 'toast' came to town, a food/wine/music festival for kiwis! All the flatmates went and met up with some contiki friends there, it was a blast. Started off with champagne and pancakes (thanks Graheme!) for brekkie around 9.30 then off to the tube. Once we were armed with something wet, we headed for the food tent where we got the most devine NZ spit roast lamb sammies with fresh white bread, mint jelly and sea salt, we were almost in complete silence eating them with the odd grunt of expression in delight. We were in heaven and experiencing our first taste of home in sometime. (pic see me with my lamb sammie). Pretty much just chilled out in the sun drinking and chatting with the sounds of Hayley Westernra and Nathan King (from Zed) in the background. Then it was time for Dave Dobbin and everyone was on their feet and we managed to be right up the front (about 8 people from the front) and screamed our lungs out to all the songs (that we knew). He finished with 'loyal' and was fantastic, my first pang of homesickness but everyone was proud to be a kiwi. Saw Kelly behind us on someone's shoulders with the NZ flag (see pic) and when Geoff picked me up I saw people for as far as I could see it was unbelievable, Dave Dobbin said it was the biggest crowd he'd played to.
Geoff wanted me to add that he had his first pie since leaving NZ.
Hyde Park

Spent a relaxing Friday evening at Hyde Park after work watching the sun go down and feeding on yummy food (you can tell me and ange are sisters, without consulting each other we pretty much bought exactly the same food, so we had 2 of everything!) and drinking wine and cider. Had to leave when it got extremely cold and windy very suddenly.
Kayla Rose Grigg

Congrats Andrew and Michelle on their new (very cute and tiny) baby girl. What a shame we're not there to see her in the flesh and have a cuddle, but we are thinking of you all.
Jack
This is one of the boys I am looking after for my temp nanny job, they are an american family over for 12 days so I look after them from 1pm onwards everyday. This is Jack, he's 14 months old and so cute! There is also a 2 1/2 boy ( a little terror!) and an 8 year old boy.
The Common

Ange and I had a brunch picnic Sunday morning to enjoy the sunshine (sorry to rub it in kiwi's back home), at The Common; my local park in Clapham, about 12 mins walk from my house. We had cherries, grapes, cheese, bread and chocolate brioches. YUM!
