Me and Chris (he has just left to go back to NZ)We all met at Victoria bus station to catch the 'mega bus' up to Wales on Friday after work. Armed with snacks and drinks for the bus, we managed to get eight facing seats together and were having a great old time until someone from the top of the bus came running down to tell us he had just received a phone call from someone who had found his bag on the side of the road (which he thought was in the hold along with everyone else's bags), turns out somewhere near the start of the trip we went, rather furiously around a roundabout, the doors of the hold flew open and we lost a few bags along the way. All a bit worried as we were the first stop so our bags were last on. Spend the next three hours feeling a little anxious, however we were SO lucky as out of the 15 or so people that got off first, our 8 bags were still present!
Jim (Nat's Dad) picked us up, we all piled into the back of the van and spent the next ten mintues, completely squashed and in total darkness, good times.
After a great nights sleep headed to the pub around 12 for lunch and a few bevvies, as we were all sitting seperately headed to the game and made arrangements to meet up afterwards. The stadium was absolutely amazing, sat 70,000 people and was quite breathtaking. After singing the national anthem louder than I ever have (sorry for the lack of tune in your ear tanz!) and getting over the disappointment on no haka, the kick off began. Great game but so easy to get distracted as the stadium so big and so much going on at all times. For those of you lucky enough to see me, geoff, tanz and Karl on TV (Mum has it taped !) you would've seen us in fine form with our all blacks and NZ flag - thanks mum! Bit of a downer waiting for a cab / bus for an hour or so and ended up hitching a ride home with a council worker, only to get in the car and realise we only had the address but had no idea where we were going !! Luckily Geoff recognised the bus stop where we had earlier caught the bus and we walked from there. Awesome weekend away
Harrods by night

Harrods

Courtney outside HarrodsFinally got to Harrods today. Courtney and I spent a few hours in there and still didn't see everything, it's massive! There was a chocolate 'bar' (smelt like chocolate, all the waitresses were wearing brown you could get lots of different chocolate drinks and cakes), kids section, bank, restaurant, cafes, pets store (also a different store that sells pets clothes), toy department, appliance section, perfumery, christmas store, deli, bookstore, clothes department (felt a bit under dressed, everything was Dior etc - Saw a dress for £2,000, silver, ladro and many more. Have to go back and purchase something. Then went across the road to food section of Harrods for lunch of sushi on a conveyor belt - yum!
Tanz Birthday

To celebrate Tanz's Birthday we all went out for Mexcian then back to their place for cake and baileys (caramel and mint - Aunty Christina I thought of you !)
Japanese and Salsa

Tanz, Nat, Mel and I tried our hand as Salsa dancing last week. Was so much fun however Mel (a girl from my work) goes quite often and was quite the pro! Lots of fun but will make sure we get there early enough for the beginner class next week.
Went to a nearby Japanese restaurant for dinner and a few glasses of wine before hand (to loosen up our dancing legs!). Here is the chef cooking our dessert.....
For those Londoners, I would highly recommend this restaurant, it's called Abeno Too and is on Great Newport Street. Turn right out of Leicester Square tube station and it's the first street on the right. Very cheap, great atmosphere and awesome food !!
Guy Fawkes

Guy Fawkes is huge over here !! Over the course of the weekend, after dusk you could hear constant fire works. Lots of big displays as fireworks are banned from being sold to the public. Wandered down to the 'common' to watch the 45 minute display of fireworks.
