Our new room

Over the weekend we moved into a smaller room as Georgie and Graham have gone back to NZ. Our new room is less than half the size of our old room but is much cosier and acutally feels like a bedroom rather than bedroom/living area, not to mention the pounds being saved. We are now on the 5th and top floor of the house, so hoping to be very fit and skinning from all the stair climbing when we get home !
Toast for brekkie

Phoebe and I went to a great cafe for brekkie this morning. You order whatever you want and then have DIY toast on the side. Lots of homemade fresh bread which you cut and take back to your table to toast. All the toppings you can think of and homemade butter. What a novelty, I think it proves to be a favourite for the summer brunches ahead.
Londoners: its on Clapham high street just before the big Sainsburys - its called BREADS ETC - get there early as it opens at 10am and packs out very quickly. Heather when you come over you have a breakfast date with me and Phoebe here !
Eclipse - 3 March 2006

Last night as we came out of Strassman the moon was in the beginning stages of an 'eclipse' (where the earth is directly between the sun and the moon, the earth casts a shadow on the moon which, which when completely covering the moon turns a glowing red colour).
First photo shows the shadow starting to creep up over the moon. By the time we caught the tube home it was at the stage of the second photo - almost complete. We stayed up to watch the end which only took about 15 minutes. The photos don't give it justice, it really was the most amazing thing! Especially the glowing red.
Strassman Show

Last night a group of us went to a live show of Strassman, he is a
ventriloquist and used the good old characters 'chuck' and 'teddy bear' that we knew and loved. He also introduced a few new characters who were good and did a 'bit' using volunteers from the audience which was hilerious.
Recommended to all the Londoners. You can get tickets for £10 on www.lastminute.com.

Nat checking out the baking at Borough markets

Saturday morning Tanya, Natalie and myself went to check out the new installation at the Tate Modern. The designer is a Belgium artist Carsten Höller and he has done other slide installations in Berlin, New York, Helsinki, Milan and Boston. His Milan creation sounds awesome as well, it was for the Prada building, where it connects Miuccia Prada’s personal office to her car. How fun!
The slides were so much fun and looked fantastic. Borough markets were just around the corner so we went there for lunch for the usual chicken hamburger. Yum!
